The year is not over yet
In the past, I was the type of kid to only download games to play and don’t care about anything else. I did not pay attention to what other kinds of interesting apps there are. As I grew older, I realized I need my phone for other activities which can make my day easier. A lot of us depend on our iPhones to stay productive and in touch with our communities. The year is already halfway through. This current epidemic closed some doors for you. Giving up is never an option though. It’s not late to decide to get your business and personal life organized so that you can be more productive.
One of the best ways to be productive is to have the right technology and tools available to get work done. It’s not always easy to sort through all of the noise and it can leave you a little overwhelmed.
I’ve decided to create a list of my top 4 iOS applications which will restart your 2020 and make you get stuff done.
Keep your focus with Flora
This might be the best passive way of using your phone. Similar to apps that shut off your phone to force you to not use it, Flora is unique in that it prompts me to plant a seed in my virtual garden, which will grow while I’m not using my phone. Whether it’s waiting to 11pm to do my homework due 11:59pm, or furiously citing the minimum five resources into my English paper just a class before. As a fellow college student, I think I speak for most of us when I say that we have a tendency to procrastinate.
It turns out deforestation is a real issue. I believe we can do the same thing as we do in this app and help nature in any way we can. According to Heart, nature helps reducing stress levels and anxiety, also can be beneficial for your health overall.
After some time using this app, I was able to keep focused on my duties and as a bonus, I managed to grow a nice and big garden full of healthy trees. That made me start my own garden in my backyard eventually.
Manage your resources using iCard
This app can be many things:
👉 Your bank
👉 Your wallet
👉 A gift creator
👉 A place to pay your bills (If you are BG user)
…and many more options. Out of all the other applications I’m about to mention, this one I’ve used for just 2 months now. Anyway, it helps me a lot. It makes my finance managing a lot easier. I can pay with the virtual cards they offer, create different plans for future purchases, which by the way can help a lot when I have to save money. I’m a gamer so one of the problems I got easily solved was buying games. It happens a lot easier and faster than going to the nearest store. Plus, it is a lot safer.
Currently, a lot of my friends and my family use the app because we can send money to each other easily without taxes.
Last week I decided to joke with my mom by sending her request for 20 Euro with description “Weekly bucks, we are modern people now”. Unfortunately, she declined my request but we both had a good laugh.
In a month, my best friend Alex has birthday. He likes to watch football a lot. His favourite team is Arsenal. So, I was thinking what can I give him as a present. He has all kinds of stuff related to the football team such as t-shirts, scarfs, mugs, balls and etc. What I decided to get him is a GiftCard from the iCard app with a custom design which will be his football club and add 100 Euro to it so he can spend them the way he wants.
For me, that’s the best digital wallet application that allows me to do many of my daily tasks and save me a lot of time because I can pay with my phone everywhere.
Lifesum and its benefitsLifesum and its benefits
Taking care of your body is crucial. The 3 main features this app offers are:
✔ Diet plans
✔ Food recipes
✔ Calorie/protein/carb/fat intake
Having a good and sustainable regime of daily eating can be beneficial for you in the long run. You know what the people say: “You are what you eat!” I use this app for a year now and it helps me a lot. I’ve found lots of different ways to achieve my perfect weight from the diets in the app. The diet I’m currently using is called “Food for Strength”. It is centered to protein eating mainly from meat. My day is usually very active so I find it perfect.
In addition to this diet, I found out lots of recipes which helped me maintain this regime. I cook my own meals more often. Besides the diet, I also work out. This application easily tracks my food and its nutritional value. In this way, I’m able to stay in my daily limits.
Lifesum lets you take control over your body, so use that opportunity!
The modern way of using books – Audible
There are still lots of people who love reading books. Unfortunately, you cannot always bring your book with you. This is the perfect app for us, the readers. All you need is your phone. Sometimes I get really lazy and I don’t feel like reading. In that case I put my AirPods on and start the audiobook I want. The last audiobook I listened to was “The Minefield Girl”. It’s about a girl doing business in Libya while Gaddafi was still at the top of his reign. The length of the book was just over 7 hours. I recommend it if you like this kind of memoirs genre. Audible offers many free and amazing books you can listen to. Give it a try! 😉
Reading is important because it develops our thoughts, gives us endless knowledge and lessons to read while keeping our minds active. Books can help us learn, understand and make us smarter. Not to mention the vocabulary expansion and thinking skills we develop. So, I strongly encourage reading (or listening) books.
All of the applications I mentioned are free to download. It doesn’t take a lot to gain your motivation back. The year is still not over. You can still achieve many things…
…So my last question is: “Did you open the App Store already?”0
