Which money transfers are you placing highest in your personal ranking of the transfers made via the digital wallet? Instant p2p transfers to other iCard app users, bank transfers, or transfers to cards?
Today we’ll talk about some of the undeniable benefits of transfers to credit, debit, or prepaid cards that have probably already earned them your “gold medal” and the top spot on your ladder of honour.
What are transfers to cards?
The transfers to cards differ from alternative ways of sending money mainly in the significantly wider access to this innovative service and the fewer requirements for users to take advantage of it.
What does this mean? For you, this means that you have the opportunity to transfer amounts to a more substantial number of recipients – relatives, friends, and partners (not only to iCard users), and much faster and easier than with bank transfers (usually the transfer to a card is executed instantly, and you don’t need bank details).
Why? Because in this case, it doesn’t matter if the sender and the recipient of the transfer are clients of the same financial institution and even if they are citizens of the same country. The important thing is that the recipient has a card issued in a country of the European Economic Area and that you are an iCard client and know the number of their card to send a transfer to it.
How to send a transfer to a card?
Open the iCard mobile app and do the following:
1. Head to the “Send” menu and select the “Card” tab.
2. Tap the “+” button, enter an amount, select a currency and from which account you will send the transfer.
3. Fill in the card number, recipient’s name, country, and city. Check the details, and press the “Send” button.
Done! Your transfer is being processed and usually arrives within a few minutes.
When to choose transfers to cards?
Our driving force is the desire to satisfy your needs and wishes, and that’s why we listen to the feedback we receive from our customers. You and the other iCard users often share that you choose this type of payment when you want the transfer to reach the other party quickly – in just a few seconds.
As another advantage, you define the ability to send the desired amount 24/7 and from anywhere, including from the comfort of your own home, without considering the working hours of banks or waiting to be served at the counter.
People often prefer transfers to cards when they split the bill with friends in a restaurant, when they pay off their debts (including on credit cards) and when they send money to loved ones, whether in the next room or on the opposite side of the world.
News, prognoses, surprises
At the end of 2022, iCard and Visa launched a large-scale communication campaign to inform the broad audience about the advantages of direct transfers to consumer payment cards and allow more people to benefit from them.
Analysts’ forecasts indicate that there will be a notable increase in interest in the service at a global level in the coming months. This process is a natural continuation of the trend toward speeding up and facilitating everyday payments, which we have all been a part of in recent years.
