New: Google Pay™️
with all Visa cards issued by iCard

Isabel Yordanova-Manolova 11 May, 2021

We are pleased to announce a long-awaited service. Starting today, all our clients using iCard on Android devices can make payments via Google Pay – another convenient payment method with the cards in your favourite digital wallet.

Easy payments?

iCard Visa, iCard Visa Infinite, iCard Metal, and virtual Visa cards issued by iCard could be added to Google Pay. Adding each of the cards to Google Pay takes just a few moments: by pressing a button (“Add to G Pay”) in iCard digital wallet or directly through the Google Pay menu available in the settings of the Android device.

Fast payments?

Paying with Google Pay is quick and easy. To pay contactlessly, you only need to wake up your Android phone and hold it near the reader until a check mark appears on the screen.

Secure payments?

iCard’s Google Pay service is using Visa’s tokenisation technology. This technology replaces sensitive payment account information found on payment cards, such as the 16-digit account number, expiration date, and security code, with a unique digital identifier – “token”, that can be used to process payments without exposing actual account details.

What is Google Pay?

Google Pay is a fast, simple way to pay at millions of places – on sites, in apps, and in stores. It brings together everything you need at checkout and protects your payment information with multiple layers of security.

Why use Google Pay with iCard cards?

Since the end of 2020, the interest in Google Pay in European markets is constantly growing. Now, with Visa cards issued by iCard, the functionality becomes available to even more people in Europe – to all users of iCard digital wallet from more than 30 countries, over 1 million people.

What are the benefits of Google Pay?

iCard Visa cardholders can now take advantage of all their privileges and discounts not only when paying directly with their plastic cards, but also when paying with these cards via Google Pay. For example, with iCard Metal card, you receive up to 1% cashback for each payment with the card in stores or online.

What to expect?

Forecasts point to a growing trend towards the digitalisation of payments. People are increasingly looking for ways to pay quickly, easily, and securely – like Google Pay. iCard aims to meet these needs and make digital payments available to a wider range of customers. The company has planned to conduct an awareness campaign to promote Google Pay as a convenient and secure payment method, which has many advantages.

How to add an iCard card to Google Pay?

Add your cards – iCard Visa, iCard Visa Infinite, iCard Metal, or a virtual Visa card, in Google Pay quickly, in a few easy steps. You can do this in two ways: using the iCard mobile app or through the “Google Pay” menu available in the settings of your Android device.
